Selling terms and conditions

General terms and conditions

Individual ticket holders and those ticket holders represented by an organisation are reminded that the following practices are strictly forbidden:

  • The resale or attempted resale of the tickets.
  • The use or attempted use of all or part of the tickets bought for commercial or promotional purposes, particularly in prize competitions, prize draws, company motivation schemes and any other action of this type, or as part of a travel package (comprising, for example, flights, accommodation and the ticket) and/or, in more general terms, in any form of advertising or promotion, without the prior agreement of the French Badminton Federation (FFBA).
  • The association or attempted association, in any form whatsoever, of the ticket holder’s name, the name of any companies, groups, associations, etc that the ticket holder controls either directly or indirectly and/or to which they belong, or of any of the trademarks that they hold as a result, to the names, trademarks and other intangible rights connected to the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.
  • And, in more general terms, any attempt to damage or undermine in any way the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, the natural persons and corporate bodies directly or indirectly connected to its organisation, and said event’s commercial partners.

In the event that the purchaser holds several tickets, they must ensure that the person(s) to whom they shall provide the ticket(s) (hereinafter referred to as “the recipients”) are made fully aware of these General Conditions of Sale and that said recipients agree to observe them. The purchaser must specifically forward a copy of these General Conditions of Sale to the recipients.

All ticket holders (i.e. the purchaser and the recipients) shall use the tickets only for their own personal use. In taking receipt of the ticket(s) all ticket holders agree to abide by these General Conditions of Sale and the laws applicable to sporting events.

1. Ticket orders

Tickets may be ordered individually or in a “pack” (“Pack Passion”: one ticket for each day of the competition; “Pack Adrénaline”: one for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals; and the “Pack Supporter”: one ticket for two days of the opening rounds) at the prices shown in the proposed price list and in the agreed periods.

Ticket orders shall be made online or in writing, on paper. Online orders may be made on the Ticketing page of the website www.yonexbadminton2010.com.

A confirmation email will be sent to customers once their orders have been placed. Written orders must be made using the official paper application form only.

Customers must send the completed order form in addition to a cheque made payable to “FFBA 2010” by post to the FFBA’s address. The booking shall only be confirmed once the cheque has been cashed. Unpaid orders shall be returned by post along with the cheque.

Whether ordering online or by post the purchaser has the right to cancel the order within a period of seven days from the date the confirmation email is sent. Tickets will be sent out by registered post from May 2010.

Purchasers wishing to exercise their right to cancel the transaction must notify the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS in writing by sending a registered letter with an acknowledgement of receipt to the following address: FFBA 2010, Billetterie, 9/11 Avenue Michelet, 93583 Saint Ouen cedex, France.

Ticket orders shall be met in all cases, without discrimination and in chronological order of their receipt, subject to the number of seats available. A registered postage fee of €6.60 shall be added to the total amount of each order.

This fee must be paid when the ticket order is made. Additional fees may be added for specific group orders. Notification of any change in the customer’s postal or email address once an order has been placed must be made to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Both the old and new addresses must be provided. The FFBA shall acknowledge receipt of any changes of address.

The Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS shall not be held responsible for the failure to deliver any improperly addressed ticket orders.

From the 9th of August 2010, tickets would not be anymore send by registered postage in order to avoid postal delivery’s problems. A « e-ticket » system will be set up on line : at the end of the purchase, the purchaser will have the possibility to download and then print the electronic ticket’s version. A fee of 1,30 € shall be added to the total amount of each order when using « e-ticket » system.

2. Prices and payment

Ticket prices and postage fees are provided in the various media formats and are given in euros.

Ticket prices are inclusive of all taxes but do not include handling and postage fees.

The members’ price applies to the members of the FFBA and other European badminton federations.

Such ticket holders will be asked to provide proof of their membership on admission to the stadium.

The group rate applies to all orders equal to or larger than ten individual tickets for the same session and in the same category. Persons with reduced mobility are invited to call the FFBA (00 33) 1 49 45 07 07. Children under the age of four do not require a ticket if, and only if, they share a seat with the person accompanying them.

Ticket sales are deemed to have been completed when payment is made.

Said payment equates to acceptance of the order. Payments cannot be broken down into instalments and payment methods are as follows:

  • Online orders: by debit/credit card.
  • Orders made using the paper application form: by cheque payable to “FFBA 2010”.
  • Ticket office: by debit/credit card, cheque or in cash.

Payments do not constitute a deposit.

Stolen or lost tickets cannot be replaced or refunded. Similarly, worn and counterfeit tickets shall be declared invalid and cannot be replaced or refunded.

Any issues with regard to tickets shall be dealt with at the stadium by the organisers.

3. Admission to the stadium

Ticket holders shall only be granted admission to the stadium once their tickets have been validated electronically.

Copies of tickets shall not be accepted.

The general terms of admission to the stadium, which comprise general requirements relating to the conditions of admission and safety measures, may be consulted on the noticeboards outside the stadium.

Ticket holders wishing to leave the building temporarily must have their tickets validated electronically. Should they fail to do so, they will be deemed to have left the building permanently and will not be readmitted.

Ticket holders are advised that they are responsible for their behaviour in and around the stadium. The Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS shall not be held responsible for any violation of these regulations committed by the ticket holder.

4. Image rights

Every ticket holder attending a match expressly acknowledges that this is a public event and irrevocably accepts that their image may be broadcast and, in more general terms, used by all media and in all media formats throughout the world and for the duration of utilisation and irrevocably waives all rights and all actions opposing said utilisation.

5. Image and video recordings at matches

Ticket holders shall only be permitted to use the photographs they take at the competition venue for personal purposes. The use of said photographs for commercial, promotional and advertising purposes is strictly forbidden, as is any other use of these images without the prior agreement of the FFBA. Ticket holders are also prohibited from any type of filming at the competition without the prior agreement of the FFBA.

6. Responsibilities of the organisers

The Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS guarantees admission to the stadium for all persons holding a valid ticket and also guarantees to stage the sporting event.

The Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS shall be held responsible for any damage or injury (bodily injury, material damage or any other type) suffered by the ticket holder in the stadium (either prior to or following the matches) as a result of a failure to observe basic safety measures and thereby fulfil the safety requirements deriving from them.

7. Postponed matches and cancellation of the event

The Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS shall not be held responsible in the event of the cancellation of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS for reasons of force majeure or in the event of a change in the start time of one or more matches for said reasons.

In the event that the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS is obliged to change the date or the venue of one or more matches for reasons other than force majeure, the holders of tickets for the match(es) in question shall be entitled to receive, as far as is possible, a ticket of the same category for the rearranged match(es).

If one or more of the matches at the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS is cancelled for reasons other than force majeure, the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS reserves the right to implement a suitable refund procedure. Should such action be necessary, the total amount refunded shall not exceed the price of the ticket. Payment of any claims made in relation to these General Conditions of Sale shall be made to the ticket holder only.

8. Notification of the General Conditions of Sale and request for information

The General Conditions of Sale may also be consulted at the website www.yonexbadminton2010.com and are also available on request from the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, at the head office of the FFBA at 9/11 Avenue Michelet, 93583 Saint Ouen cedex, France. Requests for general information should be made to the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS at the address given above.

9. Personal data and secure payments

In handling personal data, the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS agrees to abide by the provisions of the French Data Protection Act of 6 January 1978 and informs all ticket holders of their right to access, correct or delete any personal information that they provide under the aforementioned conditions.

Requests to correct or delete personal data must be forwarded by post to the president of the FFBA at 9/11 Avenue Michelet, 93583 Saint Ouen cedex, France.

In order to ensure the safety of spectators, the stadium may be equipped with a video surveillance system operated by police officers, which may be used in the event of legal proceedings. The right to access is provided in accordance with Article 10-V of the Act dated 21 January 1995.

10. Failure to observe the General Conditions of Sale

Should the ticket holder fail to comply with the General Conditions of Sale, they may be refused entry to the stadium or may be ejected. In such cases they shall have no right to a refund.

11. Amendments to the General Conditions of Sale

Subject to the applicable legislation, the Organising Committee of the 2010 YONEX BWF BADMINTON WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS reserves the right to make occasional amendments to these General Conditions of Sale, an updated version of which shall be available at the website www.yonexbadminton2010.com and on written request by post from the FFBA at 9/11 Avenue Michelet, 93583 Saint Ouen cedex, France.

12. Legally binding version

These General Conditions of Sale have been drafted in French and translated into English. Should there be any discrepancy between the French and the English versions, the French version shall be deemed to be legally binding in resolving any ambiguity with regard to its interpretation and application.

13. Law and jurisdiction

These General Conditions of Sale must be applied and interpreted in accordance with the legislation in force in France. Any disputes arising as a result of the interpretation and execution of these General Conditions of Sale and, in more general terms, relating to them, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the High Court of Paris.
